Job Summary
Responsible for providing security to Unified Government buildings, employees, and citizens. Duties include ensuring all employees meet training goals and standards, staffing posts adequately with appropriate equipment, properly scheduling security operations, maintaining an inventory of equipment, ensuring a high level of security and safety for employees and visitors, and reporting significant incidents to the Asset Protection Commander.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to pass basic security course
- Pass semi-annual weapons qualifications
- Qualify with a Conducted Electrical Weapon (Taser)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to search and seizure
- Knowledge in security procedures, methods, and protocol
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must be residents of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within 12 months from the date of hire
