Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for proactive monitoring and timely responses to potential security threats, investigating and managing security incidents, and maintaining knowledge of emergency preparedness policies. Duties include training staff on emergency management processes, enforcing traffic and parking regulations, operating a security camera system, and providing assistance at the front reception desk. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills, demonstrate critical thinking, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required, coupled with relevant experience.
Required Qualifications

- Three years of relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Provider
- Law Enforcement
- Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc.
Additional Requirements
- Driver’s License from the New York Bureau of Motor Vehicles required prior to hire or transfer date
- Security Guard credentialed from the New York Department of State obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
