Job Summary
Ensure the facility is protected by maintaining proficiency in protective equipment, restraining devices, and weapons while patrolling on foot or in a vehicle. Monitor closed circuit television systems and alarms, reporting safety concerns, breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing. Preserve order by enforcing site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises, and build effective relationships with client employees and guests. Answer phones and greet guests or employees professionally. Maintain awareness of site-specific operations performance manuals and post orders, and prepare reports while adhering to state, county, and municipal licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ Years of Age
- 2+ Years TSA Issued TWIC
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Guard License
- Active status of all required License
- Carry the License at all times while on duty
- Successfully complete a background investigation
- Successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Pass a Driver's Record check
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments
- Effectively manage deadlines
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations
- Calmly and efficiently
- Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion

- One or more of the following: 3 years civilian law enforcement, 3 years private or corporate security experience, 3 years military experience with a positive discharge
- Criminal Justice Degree or law enforcement related degree, Associates or higher
- Graduate of a law enforcement training academy
- Use both hands
- Frequently stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear
- Communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment
- Read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English
- Constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms
- Drive a vehicle
- Maneuver up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs on an intermittent basis
- Constant use of eyes
- Correctable vision to normal level
- Observe, read, interact with public and co-workers
