Job Summary
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols, patient transports, site surveys, and threat assessments to protect patients, visitors, staff, and facilities from accidents, theft, and illegal entry. Respond to alarm and nuisance calls, investigate reports of criminal conduct, and provide protective services to high-risk areas while enforcing facility security policies. Restraining patients, detaining individuals when necessary, and assisting police officers are part of daily duties under the direction of the Security Manager. This on-call, variable shift position requires an Oregon Private Security license and one year of PC experience. Driving may be necessary, and candidates must comply with state laws regarding driver's licenses and auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire
- Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional - Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training upon hire
- Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS-20
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role
- 1 year experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications
Desired Qualifications
- College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 1 year Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police
- Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry
