Job Summary
Screen individuals and authorized items entering the location in accordance with established procedures, operating screening equipment to document observations and report prohibited or unauthorized items. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter while monitoring access points and responding to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed. This role supports daily operations at a controlled correctional facility environment in Lake City, FL, with a day shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- A security professional guard card/license
