Job Summary
Oversee daily security team management to protect Rocket Lab assets, including premises, personnel, and infrastructure. Monitor CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems while supervising visitor and contractor vetting. Coordinate facility maintenance, manage badge fulfillment, and lead emergency response for fire, medical, or suspicious incidents. Handle administrative duties and attend meetings as assigned. This 100% on-site role requires night, weekend, and event availability, with a focus on discretion in highly sensitive aerospace environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 6+ years of security industry experience
- 2+ years of proven experience in security industry direct line management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of and experience with various security system electronics
- A valid driver's license
- CPR and First-Aid training and/or certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends and special events
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while performing in highly sensitive roles and missions
- U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce
- Eligibility to access equipment and data regulated by the United States' International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Citizenship of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the European Union, or a country that is part of NATO
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial work experience, preferably in aerospace
- Previous or current employment with Rocket Lab as an intern, employee or contractor, or work experience at another aerospace company
- Impeccable character/integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
