Job Summary
Patrol casino premises and guards security posts to maintain safety, prevent underage gambling, and protect assets. Respond to security incidents by interviewing guests and employees, contacting supervisors for situations beyond authority, and assisting management during emergencies. Obtain assistance for accident victims and write detailed security reports. Answer security calls and dispatch officers per departmental standards. Maintain customer service while working flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays. Requires a Virginia Unarmed Security License and gaming registration.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s)
- Virginia Unarmed Security License
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
- Must be able to form and build long-standing relations with established and new guests/players
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with team members and guests
- Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust
- Frequently required to stoop, and kneel
- Must occasionally move and lift up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Six months security experience preferred
