Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to deter security-related incidents. Support access control activities, observe site activity, and deliver customer service through clear communication. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating relevant information to site contacts or leadership. Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. This part-time role in North East, MD, includes a schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Wednesdays through Fridays. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma, and pass a background investigation and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- A guard card or license is preferred
- X-ray screening experience is preferred
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
- Loss prevention experience is preferred
