Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at government facilities to deter incidents, while responding to security-related concerns and public inquiries. Provide customer service to visitors and personnel, verify visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs of access points and incident documentation. Report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to supervision. Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeters. Shifts include Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons at a rate of $17.34 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
