Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, including buildings, walkways, parking lots, and perimeters, to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations by communicating with campus personnel and emergency responders as needed. Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities. Prepare clear, accurate reports of all incidents and observations. Work a rotating day shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM Monday through Sunday at a university location in Auburn, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
