Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and stakeholders by executing site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a public transportation and port-related location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, terminals, parking areas, roadways, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events by notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations. Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports while communicating professionally with public agencies and site personnel. This fixed-shift commitment requires a six-month base assignment with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma, and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
- CPR certification is preferred
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred
