Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and emergency response at a government location. Respond to incidents and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations according to post guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations while assisting with directional support and reporting maintenance or policy issues. Work part-time fixed shifts at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
