Security Officer Part Time Transitional Shelter

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while executing security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeters, and access points, to identify and report unusual conditions. Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful manner. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs. Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity. This role offers fixed-shift commitments with a six-month anchor shift option and the ability to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings.
