Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols of residential zones and building perimeters, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents. Respond to resident concerns, critical situations, and emergency activities while interacting professionally with staff and visitors. Provide customer service by documenting observations, filing incident reports, and communicating with emergency responders in accordance with site-specific policies. Work part-time shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at a Transitional Housing location in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
