Job Summary
Conduct routine bike and foot patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and restricted locations to deter unauthorized activity. Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public by executing security procedures and emergency response activities at a public utility site. Monitor access points, verify authorization, maintain logs, and report unusual activity or access-control concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying emergency services and site contacts per established protocols. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions through accurate reporting. Work part-time shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to ride a bike
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
