Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents. Respond professionally to alarms and critical situations while interacting with visitors and employees, then verify credentials at access points and report unauthorized access attempts. Prepare daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs for supervision and site representatives. This part-time role at a government location in Lewes, DE, includes a rotating schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a pay rate of $17.34 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
