Job Summary
Conduct routine unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders. Perform these duties on a part-time basis during Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
