Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas within a cultural institution, including galleries, public spaces, entrances, exits, and perimeter zones, to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations by assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and following site-specific emergency procedures. Provide customer service to guests and staff while supporting the protection of artwork, exhibits, and property through incident documentation and communication with site contacts. Work part-time day shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays at a location in San Jose, CA.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- Possess a valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet
- Possessing a state, county, or city issued security-related license
- Possessing a guard card or license
- Customer service experience
