Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas in cultural institutions, including galleries, public spaces, entrances, exits, and perimeter zones, to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations with de-escalation and reporting, while supporting the protection of artwork, exhibits, and property by following post orders and documenting events. Provide customer service and communicate relevant information to site contacts and leadership. Work part-time day shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays at a rate of $21.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of security experience and a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet
- Possessing a state, county, or city issued security-related license
- Possessing a guard card or license
- Customer service experience
