Security Officer Part - Time ( Fri & Sat)

Job Summary
Conduct foot patrols of the hotel interior, exterior, parking areas, and grounds while examining doors, windows, gates, and equipment for tampering or misuse. Warn violators of rule infractions, expel trespassers, regulate traffic flow, and respond to security calls, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, assertive manner. Perform safety inspections, report hazards like fire risks or leaking pipes, and prepare detailed reports for accidents, thefts, or incidents. Maintain daily activity logs, handle dispatch calls, manage key control, and ensure all security procedures are followed. Obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR certificates.
Required Qualifications
- Current First Aid/CPR certificates
- Ability to perform standard first aid when necessary
- Familiarity with all operations of the guest room security systems
- Familiarity with the property alarm system
- Familiarity with the fire alarm system/fire control room
- Ability to maintain and update daily activity log on the computer
- Ability to handle all incoming phone calls
- Ability to take messages and relay them to the appropriate persons
- Ability to dispatch officers to locations when they are needed
- Ability to maintain proper key control
- Ability to ensure proper signs in and out of all hard and soft keys
- Ability to document all key related discrepancies and initiate reports if necessary
- Ability to obtain current First Aid/CPR certificates
- Ability to be familiar with all operations of the guest room security systems
- Ability to be well versed in the property alarm system
- Ability to be well versed in the fire alarm system/fire control room
- Ability to perform Security dispatch administrative duties
- Ability to maintain proper key control
- Ability to ensure proper signs in and out of all hard and soft keys
- Ability to document all key related discrepancies and initiate reports if necessary
- Subject to background and substance abuse screening prior to any offer of employment
