Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns professionally, then document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports. Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and direct individuals to appropriate locations. Work fixed-anchor shifts with a six-month commitment, supplemented by optional claim-a-shifts to earn more. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
