Job Summary
Monitor and control access at assigned entry points by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while maintaining accurate access records. Screen incoming and outgoing vehicle, driver, and visitor traffic in accordance with site procedures for a logistics and distribution location. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
