Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements. Assist with directing visitors and monitor access points throughout the assigned location. Work day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Brooklyn, NY, as a part-time unarmed patrol officer.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of security-related experience
- New York State Security Guard License
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Valid driver's license
