Job Summary
Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain records for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. Control access in accordance with site requirements, report unauthorized attempts, and respond to incidents by escalating concerns to leadership or emergency responders. Conduct regular patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity. Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and employees while performing site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
