Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at an educational location to help discourage security-related incidents while supporting students, staff, and visitors. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a professional manner, communicating with administrators and first responders as needed. Conduct regular patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to identify unusual activity. Serve in an armed post in accordance with site requirements, maintaining professional bearing and following all applicable post orders. Monitor access points and visitor activity, enforcing location rules and documenting observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately. Work part-time shifts including Thursday and Friday days, earning $18.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience
- Possess a corrections officer license
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- A valid driver's license
