Job Summary
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and assist with directing guests in accordance with site policies. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns. This part-time role in Northlake, IL, offers a six-month fixed-shift commitment with the option to claim additional shifts via the Smart Tools platform. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma, and pass a background investigation and drug screen.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
