Job Summary
Security Officer at Par Health Saint Louis Plant Site is responsible for the safety and security of employees, property, information, and the company’s reputation. Essential duties include preventing diversion of pharmaceutical-grade narcotics, protecting DEA registrations, handling sensitive information, coordinating with police and fire departments during emergencies, issuing visitor/contractor badges, controlling access to the facility, monitoring alarm systems, and ensuring proper response to hazardous materials and incidents. The role requires familiarity with industrial security standards, ongoing education in related areas, and the ability to enforce company policy and applicable laws; must be able to use force appropriately and maintain security across plant property and parking areas during 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited Law Enforcement Academy
- Ability to be approved as an Armed & Licensed Security Officer/Courier by Watchmen’s Division of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department
- 5-10 years of Law Enforcement
- Armed Law Enforcement experience 5-10 years
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, investigation, de-escalation and negotiating skills
- Proficiency in writing incident reports
- Understanding of criminal law and workplace violence
- Ability to enforce Company Policy and federal/state laws
- Willingness to wear PPE and work 12 hour shifts with day/night rotations
