Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons, while warning violators of rule infractions like loitering or smoking. Permit authorized persons to enter property, monitor entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to protect against theft. Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, maintaining written logs as required by the post. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice across various industries including healthcare, education, and finance.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of security experience
- open availability to work at different locations on different shifts with little to no notice
- high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- subject to a background investigation
- subject to a drug screen
- at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
