Job Summary
Security Officer (On Call) at Loews Chicago Hotel. Patrol and monitor hotel facilities to ensure guest and staff safety, control access, inspect packages, document security incidents, monitor CCTV, respond to emergencies, and enforce policies to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Requires strong observational and interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and experience in hotel security or related field (1-3 years preferred). High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in related field preferred. On-call, part-time role with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel security or a related field required (1-3 years preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of security systems, safety regulations, and emergency response protocols preferred
- Experience using CCTV systems and other security technology preferred
- Ability to operate departmental vehicles, including electric transport vehicles required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation for incidents and safety issues
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
