Job Summary
Monitor museum entrances, galleries, and public spaces for unauthorized activity, then conduct regular patrols to deter incidents and identify hazards. Respond to alarms, medical situations, and critical events while providing customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors. Maintain accurate records of activity and incidents, reporting concerns to leadership and site personnel. Perform site-specific security procedures and access-control policies within this cultural institution setting.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
