Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle, monitoring entrances and exits while watching for irregular conditions or safety hazards. Sound alarms or contact police and fire departments for emergencies, warn violators of rule infractions, and permit authorized access. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and maintain required logs while mediating conflicts with tact. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Use the exclusive shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, noting that irregular shifts may occur with little to no advance notice.
Required Qualifications
- Open Availability
- Valid California Guard Card
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to complete the required hiring process
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Background investigation
- Drug screen
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
