Job Summary
Control access to the installation by verifying credentials of personnel, contractors, and visitors. Conduct armed patrols of restricted areas, facilities, and perimeter zones while monitoring for threats of unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents in accordance with established operating procedures and assist Air Force Security Forces during emergencies, drills, and real-world incidents. Prepare incident and activity reports according to Department of War policy and post orders. Ensure all security operations comply with Air Force regulations and contract standards. Complete a minimum of 30 days of initial on-site training in Charlotte, NC before deployment. Work a day shift with availability for weekends as needed. Directly support the mission of the North Carolina Air National Guard in a high-security, mission-critical environment.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance
- Current armed security license or ability to obtain while onboarding
- Ability to obtain and pass PPSB standards for the M18 pistol, M870 shotgun, and AR-15
- Must complete a minimum of 30 days of training in Charlotte, NC before being released to work at the Stanly County site
- Must be available to work advertised shift and weekends as needed
- Clean background and drug screening
- Adherence to grooming standards (DAFI 36-2903)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to work highly independently
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Prior service or experience working on DoW installation
- Current Secret Clearance (active or within 5 years)
- Familiarity with Air Force security protocols
- Experience working under federal/state contracts or with DoW contractors
