Job Summary
Conduct floor patrols to check for open machines, verify age of patrons, and report suspicious activities or safety hazards. Monitor and protect gaming cash, including deposits, withdrawals, and jackpot winnings, while maintaining confidentiality of privileged information. Perform routine inspections of aisles, fire suppression systems, and controls access to restricted areas. Assist patrons with lost and found, verify gaming paperwork, and communicate with law enforcement and firefighting agencies. Control emergency situations, including resetting alarms or evacuations, and ensure employees adhere to all gaming policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- one year of security experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPR certification
- AED certification
- TIPS certification
- First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license
- clean driving record
- No felony, theft or stealing convictions
- ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- ability to pass a background investigation
- gaming license
- twenty-one (21) years of age
- Tribal preference
- Knowledge of tribal, federal, and state gaming, criminal, traffic, and civil code and laws
- Knowledge of security operations, principles and practices including investigation, patrol, communications, records, community/public relations, and crime prevention
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other law enforcement/regulatory agencies, departmental staff, tribal officials, and the public
- Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations
- Ability to interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels
- Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines
- Ability to be persuasive and tactful in controversial situations
- Ability to prepare accurate, complete, and legible reports
- Ability to present detailed, accurate and objective oral presentations and response to questions
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to make intelligent and effective decisions in routine and emergency situations
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
