Job Summary
Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by executing security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Monitor access points to control entry and exit by verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing passes, and maintaining accurate records. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly while communicating with site contacts or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, or security concerns to support order and continuity. This part-time role offers flexible anchor shifts from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM in Hauppauge, NY, with a six-month commitment and an option to pick up additional shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements met (subject to state and/or local laws and regulations)
- Available for a six (6) month commitment
- Available for weekend shifts (implied by 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM schedule)
- Ability to work in varying working environments and conditions
