Job Summary
Provide customer service by executing security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities. Monitor and control site access by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for employees, contractors, and drivers. Maintain accurate records of visitor entry, contractor activity, vehicle access, deliveries, and incidents. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns to leadership or emergency responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity. Work part-time days from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays in Melville, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Desired Qualifications
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
