Job Summary
Maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors by conducting regular patrols, detecting suspicious activities, and managing crowd control during school events. Respond to emergencies quickly, assist with evacuations and lock-downs, provide first aid, and coordinate with administration and law enforcement while utilizing security equipment to uphold law and order. Prepare incident reports and comply with all legal and organizational regulations regarding armed security. Requires a valid Texas armed security officer license, minimum two years of experience, CPR and first aid certification, and physical fitness to stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas armed security officer license
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a security officer, preferably in an educational environment
- Trained and certified in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check and drug test
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
