Job Summary
Implement and comply with company security policies while patrolling premises to prevent unauthorized entry, theft, or vandalism. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, identifying unusual activity and responding to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches. Inspect individuals and vehicles entering or exiting the facility, prepare incident reports documenting observations, and cooperate with law enforcement on security-related incidents. Provide customer service to visitors and employees, participate in security training and drills, and independently handle daily inspections of monitoring center host systems to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or lost footage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid security license or certificate (if required by local law)
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Able to adapt to shift work and overtime
Desired Qualifications
- Security-related certificates or degrees
- Familiar with security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control systems
- Emergency response and crisis management capabilities
- Basic computer skills and ability to write reports
- Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Honest, upright, and possess a high degree of responsibility and alertness
- Proficient in the use of office software such as Word and Excel
- Highly skilled in operating mainstream monitoring systems
- Capable of independently handling daily inspections of monitoring center host systems
- Capable of troubleshooting common issues such as equipment malfunctions, system crashes, and lost video footage
