Job Summary
Security Officer I at Hy-Vee responsible for protecting employees, guests, assets, and the company’s reputation across corporate campuses. Manages security posts, controls ingress/egress, conducts routine interior/exterior patrols, monitors electronic security systems and CCTV, responds to alarms and emergencies, performs safety inspections, prepares detailed activity/incident reports, and participates in security meetings and training. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain CPR/AED certification, and operate with strong communication and de-escalation skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Criminal background check (annual)
- CPR and AED certification (training)
- Valid driver’s license
- Armed security officer qualification (preferred)
