Job Summary
Security Officer I reports to the Security Lead or Security Supervisor, conducts activities to prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and bodily harm; maintains highly visible, professional uniformed presence; responds to alarms and calls for assistance; may access medication storage areas; assists with escorting personnel; conducts patrols of buildings and grounds; prepares reports; ensures safety and security procedures are followed; requires completion of multiple safety and security trainings within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 0 to 1 year experience
- Valid State of Florida Drivers License (FDL) and MVR acceptable
- AHCA fingerprint clearance
- FEMA IS906 and IS907 within 1 year
- IAHSS CHSO within 1 year
- BLS through American Heart Association quarterly
- Certification in Healthcare Defensive Tactics within 90 days
- Certification in Defense Baton within 180 days
- Certification in Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) within 180 days
- On-site Traumatic Bleeding Control training within 1 year
- Re-certifications as required
