Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows, entrances, and exterior lighting to ensure areas are secure and tamper-free. Respond to alarms and calls for assistance to rescue, protect, and defend, while assisting in confronting unauthorized persons, escorting personnel, and monitoring parking areas. Provide directions and assistance to patients and visitors, and aid in the ambulation of patients as required. Notify the Communication Center for fire emergencies and report unusual conditions or system malfunctions. Prepare reports using computer applications and maintain knowledge of fire, disaster, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 0 to 1 year experience
- Valid State of Florida Drivers License (FDL)
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that is acceptable to PMC's corporate automobile insurance carrier
- AHCA fingerprint clearance
- FEMA IS906
- FEMA IS907
- IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO)
- BLS through The American Heart Association
- Certification in Healthcare Defensive Tactics
- Certification in Defense Baton
- Certification in Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser)
- Complete on-site training in Traumatic Bleeding Control (tourniquet)
Desired Qualifications
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that is acceptable to PMC's corporate automobile insurance carrier (strongly preferred)
