Security Officer I

Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance equipment to protect property, assets, and people within assigned sites. Inspect buildings and access points to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches while enforcing applicable laws, regulations, and site policies. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, manage conflicts in a professional manner, and assist visitors and employees with inquiries. Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities. Maintain clear communication with site and Company staff and participate in ongoing training. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a requirement to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Submit to a background check and drug screen; applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities
- General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Ability to work flexible hours, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Must pass a full background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Experience in a school setting
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid and CPR certification
