Job Summary
Patrol grounds, buildings, and public facilities to protect residents from harm, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. Guard public property against fire and illegal access while performing related duties as required. This part-time role involves rotating shifts from 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, and 12am-8am. Candidates must possess a valid NJ driver's license, current SORA certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Successful applicants will undergo drug and criminal background screenings. The Housing Authority of the City of Camden offers a competitive hourly rate range of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a valid NJ driver's license
- Requires frequent standing, stretching, bending, stooping, squatting, walking, pushing and pulling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 35 pounds or more
- 3pm-11pm
- 11pm-7am
- 12am-8am
Desired Qualifications
- Previous security guard experience
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree
- Possession of a current, valid NJ SORA Certification
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
