Job Summary
Greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, and maintain visitor logs while providing customer service to patients, staff, and visitors at the hospital welcome desk. Monitor entry points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or facility representatives as directed. Support a welcoming healthcare environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and assisting with wayfinding and general information. Work part-time anchor shifts in West Palm Beach, FL, with a six-month commitment and flexibility to pick up additional shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue
- Must be able to restrain individuals as needed
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
