Job Summary
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner while communicating with staff and first responders. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assist with access-related concerns, and document security-related events according to site procedures. Work weekends from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Salem, VA, with a six-month fixed-shift commitment and an option to claim additional shifts. Requires at least two years of healthcare experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to work in an environment including a morgue.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client
- Be at least 21 years of age
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
- Must be able to restrain individuals when required
- Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
