Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including entrances, hallways, parking, and perimeter locations, while remaining visible to deter security incidents. Respond to disturbances and critical situations by documenting details and communicating with site contacts or first responders. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, supporting authorized entry, and assisting with de-escalation requests. Maintain a professional presence to direct patients and visitors as needed. Work the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of security-related experience
- Hospital-required vaccines
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
