Job Summary
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities appropriate to a government location. Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting details to site contacts. Conduct regular patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site rules and post instructions. Observe and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence. Work a day shift from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Ventura, CA.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of security-related experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- A guard card and/or license
- Customer service experience
