Job Summary
Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity while patrolling on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals. Orally and physically de-escalate individuals as needed, inspect all security devices and fire control equipment, and screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance. Respond to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency. May also include patient escort, patient watch, safety escort, and assisting in transporting deceased individuals to the morgue. Work all shifts from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM in Sumter, SC, requiring a valid driver's license and completion of aggressive behavior certification training.
Required Qualifications
- Must Be 21+ Years of Age for Role
- Security Experience 6+ months
- Must Have Great Customer Service Skills
- Must Be Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet
- Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
- Be at least 21 years of age for role
- High school diploma or Verifiable High School Diploma or GED (Certificates of Completion not acceptable)
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification
