Job Summary
Conduct surveillance of healthcare premises and patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals. Orally and physically de-escalate individuals, screen members and visitors for admittance, and respond to incidents including fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and hazardous materials with calm urgency. May escort patients, provide safety escorts, and assist in transporting deceased to the morgue. Maintain vigilance for crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity while inspecting security and fire control equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Hospital: Vaccines (C143)
- Security Experience - 2+ Years (C114)
- Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
- Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- Must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification
