Job Summary
Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity while patrolling on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and unauthorized individuals. Orally and physically de-escalate individuals as needed, inspect security and fire control equipment, and screen members, visitors, and client employees for facility admittance. Respond to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and hazardous materials with calm urgency, and may provide patient escorts, patient watch, or transport deceased individuals to the morgue. This part-time on-call role requires a valid driver's license for driving positions and successful completion of training and aggressive behavior certification.
Required Qualifications
- Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
- Successfully complete the training requirement
- Obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification
