Job Summary
Monitor all vehicles and team members entering and exiting venues to ensure authorization, conduct entry screenings to prevent prohibited items, and assist guests properly within assigned sections. Monitor guest behavior for policy compliance, provide a safe and friendly atmosphere, and assist with post-event clean-up. Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of personal protective equipment and reporting unsafe situations. Work year-round across Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, GIANT Center, Hershey Theatre, and Hershey Stadium in a fast-paced environment subject to extreme weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying
- Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios
- Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements
- Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times
- Must have the ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Team members must work a minimum of eight (8) hours every two pay periods in order to stay an active employee
- Must be able to stand and walk unassisted (for up to eight hours at a time)
- Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance
